The National Forum on Synergies Between Water Quality Trading and Wetland Mitigation Banking was held July 11-12, 2005, in Washington, DC.The forum was sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The 2-day meeting was designed to achieve the following objectives: 1) Advance point/nonpoint source trading on a watershed scale by identifying 'lessons learned' from wetland mitigation banking; and 2) Explore the potential role wetlands can play in providing water quality credits as partof a watershed scale trading program.
